Maces are a type of Weapon in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Maces belong to the One-Handed weapon class, with their effectiveness in combat governed by the One-Handed Skill and Perk trees. This weapon type can be dual-wielded with other one-handed weapons, or used in tandem with Shields, Staves or Spells in the off-hand. Maces typically deal the most damage among all one-handed weapons and they have decent range, on par with War Axes and Swords. However, they also have the slowest swing speeds. They perform very well in trading blows playstyles, especially when used with a Shield.

The Best Maces in Skyrim
The following is a short list of some of the best Maces in Skyrim:
- Mace of Molag Bal - A Daedric Artifact that deals damage to an opponent's Magicka and Stamina, as well as casting Soul Trap on them with every hit. It is also only 1 damage point lower than the Dragonbone Mace and is much lighter.
- Dragonbone Mace - The top tier Mace that can be crafted. Outclassed by the Mace of Bolag Bal in terms of overall DPS, but can come out on top with strong enchantments.
- Stalhrim Mace - Slightly weaker than the Dragonbone Mace but can be crafted earlier, with a lower Smithing perk requirement.
