Witbane is a Disease in Skyrim. Magicka regeneration is greatly affected by the Witbane disease reducing by 50%. Players can try using consumables to temporarily counter the regeneration reduction, look in the stats page for consumable options. Diseases in Skyrim refer to the status ailments that players can contract from the world. Being infected by Diseases weakens specific skills or attributes of the player. A Disease effect will remain active until it is cured. Players can check their magic menu to look for active effects that will show diseases that are actively affecting them.

Skyrim Witbane Effect

• The player will regenerate Magicka 50% more slowly. This can be troublesome for magic casters who rely on Magicka during combat. Build for spell cost reductions and carry more Magicka restoration consumables for counteracting this effect.

How to Cure Witbane in Skyrim

In Skyrim diseases do not naturally go away, a player must cure the disease. The following are ways to cure disease:

• Eat Garlic Bread
• Pray at a shrine 
• Vigilants of Stendarr can cure diseases if asked
