Nordic Battleaxe is a Battleaxe in Skyrim. Battleaxes are a middle ground in damage and speed for two-handed weapons, having faster attacks than Warhammers but more damage than Greatswords. Battleaxes receive bonuses from the Two-handed skills and perks and in particular benefit from the Limbsplitter perk that allows Battleaxes to cause extra bleeding damage to their targets.
