Dawnguard Quests in Skyrim are optional side Quests that do not have to be completed in order to finish the game. They are only available with the Dawnguard DLC. These Quests follow the Dawnguard faction, a group of vampire hunters recently reinstated to quell the upsurge in vampire attacks. Unlike other story-based RPGs, completing the Main Quest in Skyrim does not lock you out of any side quests, including the Dawnguard Quests. Quest rewards are various, you could be rewarded with gold, skill levels and even unique weapons and abilities. Completing quests will improve NPC disposition and make them more friendly to you, allowing you to recruit them as followers or even ask them to marry.
